Breast Cancer 3 Day

Up

Information

On New Year's Day, I registered for the Breast Cancer 3 Day 2007 in the Seattle area.

What is the 3 Day?

Changing lives. The Breast Cancer 3-Day.

The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile walk for women and men who want to make a personal difference in the fight against breast cancer. Participants walk 60 miles in three days, help raise millions of dollars for breast cancer research and patient support programs and are part of something way bigger than themselves.

Along the way, they get all the support they need for training and fundraising. And each night of the event, walkers experience an incredible mobile city that’s more than just sleeping tents and warm showers, where they can eat, relax and renew their spirit with their fellow walkers.

During three awe-inspiring days, participants in Breast Cancer 3-Day events, including breast cancer survivors, will cover 60 miles in this challenging and empowering experience.

Every 3 Day walker pays to register for the event.  Then we are responsible for raising a minimum of $2,200 in donations to Komen for the Cure or Susan G. Komen for the Cure.  I wrote a letter, which I also adapted for email, to explain that I'm walking the Breast Cancer 3-Day in honor of my Mom and my Aunt Anne.  Take a look.  Margo's Letter
